Job Opportunity: Ultrasound Tech/Sonographer

Location: Lafayette, Colorado
Employment Type: Staffing - Supplier Sourced
Contract Length: 13 weeks (90 days ≈ 13 weeks)

Job Summary

Perform Ultrasound procedures to obtain imaging results according to physician specifications. Responsibilities include patient transfer for examinations, assisting with the ultrasound process, operating ultrasound imaging equipment, and ensuring quality and timely patient care.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities

• Operate all Ultrasound Imaging and related equipment appropriately.
• Educate, position, and immobilize patients for ultrasound procedures.
• Coordinate ultrasound examinations to ensure timeliness, quality, and continuity of care.
• Follow provider imaging orders accurately.
• Submit images and clinical information to Radiologists for interpretation.
• Evaluate image quality appropriately.
• Communicate effectively with patients, coworkers, Radiologists, and leadership.
• Utilize, charge, and maintain department supplies properly.
• Practice sterile technique and follow infection prevention policies.
• Manage multiple tasks/projects and meet deadlines.
• Safely perform ultrasound procedures including patient transfer.

Required Qualifications

• Minimum 2 years of experience as an Ultrasound Tech/Sonographer.
• Experience with all general and vascular ultrasound except ABIs and segmental pressure; no echo or breast ultrasound experience required.
• Strong communication skills within a multi-functional team.
• Strong organizational skills and attention to detail.
• Ability to work successfully in a fast-paced, service-oriented environment.
• Proficient with computers, including Microsoft Office Suite, and ability to learn relevant applications.
