Job Description

Seeking a Registered Nurse with ICU specialty to provide critical care nursing services. The position requires working night shifts with a rotating weekend and holiday schedule.

Required Qualifications

• License: Valid Registered Nurse (RN) license for Illinois.
• Certifications:

  • Basic Life Support (BLS) – American Heart Association certification required.
  • Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support (ACLS) – American Heart Association certification required.
  • Trauma Nursing Core Course (TNCC) – preferred but optional.
  • National Institutes of Health Stroke Scale (NIHSS) certification required.
• Health and Safety:

  • Fit Test for respiratory protection.
  • 10-panel drug screen completed within 30 days of start (specific substances required, no THC).
  • COVID-19 vaccination proof or exemption (declination not accepted in Illinois).
  • MMR vaccination or immunity proof.
  • Hepatitis B vaccination series proof.
  • Influenza vaccine proof or exemption (declination not accepted in Illinois).
  • Varicella vaccination or immunity proof.
  • Tdap vaccination or declination (declination accepted if no pediatric interaction).
  • 2 Step PPD or IGRA (Quantiferon/Tspot) tuberculosis test.
  • Physical/Health Statement confirming fitness to work within the last year.
• Background and Compliance:

  • Federal, nationwide, and county criminal background checks within the last 7 years.
  • Social Security Number verification.
  • Exclusion and sanction screenings (OIG, EPLS, OFAC).
  • State-specific criminal and abuse registry checks.
  • Signed confidentiality, code of conduct, conflict of interest, and integrity forms.
• Competency:

  • Specialty-specific competency testing completed within the last year.

  • CORE exam within the last year.
