Job Opportunity: RN ICU
Location: Mason City, Iowa
Employment Type: Travel
Shift: 7:00 PM – 7:30 AM, every other weekend and every other holiday
Contract Length: 12 weeks
Job Description
Seeking a Registered Nurse (RN) with ICU specialty to provide critical care nursing services. The position requires working night shifts with weekend and holiday rotations.
Required Qualifications
- License: Valid RN license for the state of Iowa.
- Certifications:
- BLS (Basic Life Support) – American Heart Association certification required.
- ACLS (Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support) – required for ICU nurses.
- NIHSS (National Institutes of Health Stroke Scale) certification.
- Specialty exam completed within the last year.
- Health and Safety:
- Fit Test.
- 10-panel drug screen completed within 30 days of start (specific substances required, no THC).
- Physical/Health Statement confirming fitness to work (exam within the last year).
- Immunizations and vaccine requirements including:
- COVID-19 vaccine or approved exemption.
- MMR (Measles, Mumps, Rubella) vaccination or immunity proof.
- Hepatitis B vaccination series (titers not accepted).
- Influenza vaccine or approved exemption (seasonal).
- Varicella vaccination or immunity proof.
- Tdap vaccination (declinations accepted if no pediatric interaction).
- 2 Step PPD or IGRA (Quantiferon/Tspot) for TB screening.
- Color vision test.
- Background and Compliance:
- Criminal background check (federal, nationwide, county) within last 7 years.

- Education verification (highest level of academic education).
- Exclusion checks (OIG/GSA, EPLS, NSO).
