Description
Job Opportunity: Registered Respiratory Therapist (RRT)
Location: Baltimore, Maryland
Employment Type: Travel/Contract
Contract Length: 14 weeks
Job Summary
Seeking a Registered Respiratory Therapist with experience in adult critical care or emergency department settings. This is a travel contract position open to both experienced and first-time travel therapists.
Required Qualifications
- Valid Respiratory Therapist license in Maryland
- Minimum 2 years of Respiratory Therapist experience, including experience within the last year
- Experience working with adult patients
- ACLS (Advanced Cardiac Life Support) certification
- BLS (Basic Life Support) certification
Compliance and Documentation Requirements
- Government-issued photo ID (valid driver's license or state ID)
- Background check within 6 months covering all locations lived/worked in the past 7 years
- Education verification and transcript/diploma preferred
- Physical exam within 1 year confirming ability to meet essential job functions
- Negative TB test or chest X-ray within 1 year
- Drug screening (9-panel) within 30 days of start
- Required immunizations/vaccinations including MMR, Varicella, Hepatitis B, Flu seasonal vaccination (or approved exemptions)
- Respirator fit test (completed onsite)
- Various competency exams including medication/pharmacology and dysrhythmia/EKG competency exams (as applicable)
- Facility-specific policies acknowledgment and signed consent forms prior to start
Additional Notes
- Stroke and Trauma CEUs may be required and must be maintained annually depending on unit assignment
- Pass/fail testing for EKG and medication may be required with limited attempts allowed
- References and employment verification required within the last 7 years
- Candidates must complete facility-specific orientation and safety acknowledgments
