Pros

I had an amazing experience working with Mikayla Serafin as my travel nurse recruiter. As this was my first travel contract, I was a little nervous going in, but she made the entire process feel smooth and seamless from start to finish. Her communication was excellent—she was always available, responsive, and quick to find answers to any questions I had. I truly felt like she had my best interests in mind at all times, and I never once felt pressured into making decisions. Mikayla is supportive, knowledgeable, and genuinely cares about the nurses she works with. I would highly recommend her to anyone considering travel nursing—she will not disappoint!

Cons

I honestly don’t have any, that’s how great Host Healthcare is.

But if you aren't interested in catching a show, you'll find plenty of other things to do, including spending time outdoors with over 300 sunny days a year. Hike Mount Bonnell for an awe-inspiring view over Lake Austin and the downtown skyline. You can enjoy a refreshing dip in the spring-fed waters at the Barton Springs Pool in Zilker Metropolitan Park, spread over 351 acres with miles and miles of hiking and biking trails. The park is also home to the city's botanical garden, the Austin Nature and Science Center and other attractions. Austin is famous for its food scene, particularly BBQ. Franklin Barbecue, which once served President Obama, is a local favorite.
