Description
Job Opportunity: CT Technologist
Location: Waco, Texas
Employment Type: Long-Term Assignment (approximately 13 weeks)
Job Description
- Perform computerized tomographic (CT) procedures for diagnosing disease and injury following radiologist protocols.
- Prepare and position patients; accurately select anatomic and technical parameters.
- Prepare and administer contrast media and/or medications within scope of practice and applicable regulations.
- Monitor patients during procedures and report any abnormal activity.
- Follow radiation safety procedures and guidelines.
- May be required to be on-call.
- Requires critical thinking, decisive judgment, and ability to work with minimal supervision in a stressful environment.
- Use personal protective equipment and follow standard precautions as required.
Required Qualifications
- Valid CT Technologist license in Texas.
- Minimum 1 year of CT Technologist experience, including experience within the last year.
Additional Information
- Onboarding includes completion of a medical imaging contract worker education attestation and skills checklist.
- Must be able to work independently and handle stressful situations.
- May require on-site completion of some health screenings and fit testing.
- Flu season mask policy applies if vaccine is declined.
