Description
Job Opportunity: Mammography Tech
Location: San Mateo, California
Employment Type: Travel/Contract
Contract Length: 13 weeks
Job Description
- Perform routine and specialized breast imaging procedures to produce quality diagnostic images.
- Work independently using sound judgment and clinical skills to ensure safe, precise, and timely procedures.
- Provide competent patient assessment, monitoring, and effective communication with patients, families, and healthcare providers.
- Adhere to all local, state, and federal regulations, policies, and procedures to ensure patient privacy and safety.
- May perform specific procedures and orient new staff to the department.
Shift: 5 days per week, 8-hour shifts, Monday through Saturday. Start times vary between 6:30 AM and 10:30 AM.
Required Qualifications
- Valid Mammography Technologist license in California.
- Minimum 2 years of experience as a Mammography Technologist.
- Mammography Technologist experience within the last year.
- Basic Life Support (BLS) certification issued by the American Heart Association.
Additional Requirements
- Must provide a clear, passport-style photo for badge.
- Complete various facility-specific documents and attestations prior to start.
- Employment application must include a full 7 years of work history with no gaps.
- References and employment verifications required as per agency standards.
