Job Opportunity: Surgical Oncology RN

Location: Cleveland, Ohio
Employment Type: Long-Term Assignment (LTA)
Contract Length: 13 weeks

Job Description

• Provide nursing care in Oncology, Step Down, Surgical, and Telemetry units
• Night shift hours: 7:00 PM – 7:30 AM
• Every Other Week (EOW) and Every Other Holiday (EOH) schedule
• Approximately 36 hours per week

Required Qualifications

Licensure & Certification

• Valid, permanent RN license for Ohio (temporary licenses not accepted)
• BLS certification (American Heart Association only)

Experience

• Specialty: RN Oncology
• Minimum years of experience: Not explicitly stated (assume standard RN Oncology experience expected)

Health & Immunization Requirements

• COVID-19 vaccine preferred but not required (medical/religious exemptions accepted)
• MMR: Positive titers within last 15 years or appropriate booster schedule
• Varicella: Positive titers within last 15 years or appropriate booster schedule
• Hepatitis B: Proof of full series, partial series with signed declination, or positive titers within 15 years
• Tdap: Vaccination within last 10 years (no declinations accepted)
• Influenza vaccine required during flu season (Oct-Mar) or must comply with masking and declination forms
• 2-Step PPD or IGRA (Quantiferon/Tspot) within last 6 months; if positive, clear chest X-ray and current TB questionnaire required
• Physical exam within one year prior to start, confirming ability to work without restrictions

Other Requirements

• Fit test for N95 respirators completed within 1 year prior to start (specific approved models)
• Non-expired photo ID (Driver’s License or State ID)
• Background checks including criminal background, social security trace, OIG search, and drug screen (10-panel, no instant tests) completed within required timeframes
• Fingerprints and FBI checks as required for Ohio residents (with attestation allowed if pending)
• Education and employment verification through third-party sources
• Skills checklist, competency exam, and core competencies completed within 1 year prior to start (passing scores required)
• Completion of required safety and compliance training modules prior to clearance
