Job Opportunity: Registered Respiratory Therapist (RRT)

Location: Beckley, West Virginia
Employment Type: Travel Contract
Contract Length: 13 weeks


Job Summary

Provide respiratory therapy care in a critical access hospital setting serving all age groups. The role requires working independently and being comfortable as the sole respiratory therapist on shift. Experience in emergency room and critical care settings is essential.


Work Details

  • Shift: See shift details (typically includes every other weekend and as-needed call)
  • Weekly Hours: 36 guaranteed hours
  • Weekend Hours: Every other weekend / as needed
  • Call Requirements: As needed
  • Float Requirements: As needed

Required Qualifications

  • Valid Registered Respiratory Therapist license in West Virginia
  • Minimum 1 year of Respiratory Therapist experience within the last year
  • Certifications: ACLS, BLS, NRP, PALS (must be obtained prior to start)

Additional Information

  • Patient population includes all ages (pediatric to geriatric)
  • Professional dress code required (scrubs allowed; casual wear not acceptable)
  • Must be comfortable being the only respiratory therapist on shift

This position offers the opportunity to work in a facility accredited by the Joint Commission, providing a wide range of surgical and emergency services.
