Job Opportunity: Registered Nurse - CVICU

Location: Camden, New Jersey

Contract Length: 13 weeks

Job Description

• Float within 5 hospitals as needed within your skillset.
• Block scheduling is NOT allowed.
• Required to pass a Dysrhythmia test within 72 hours of signing the contract (only 2 attempts allowed; must be taken on a PC, not iOS devices).
• Failure to pass or complete the test on time will result in contract cancellation and denial of rehire.

Required Qualifications

• Valid RN license in New Jersey
• Minimum 2 years of CVICU experience, with at least some experience within the last year
• Associate of Science in Nursing / Associate Degree in Nursing
• ACLS certification issued by American Heart Association or American Red Cross
• BLS certification issued by American Heart Association or American Red Cross
• Experience with balloon pumps and Impella devices
• NIH Stroke Scale (NIHSS) certification or competency

Certifications & Compliance Requirements

• Current ACLS and BLS certifications (AHA or ARC only).
• Pass Dysrhythmia competency test within 72 hours of contract signing.
• Background checks including 7-year criminal history, EPLS/GSA/SAM, and HHS/OIG screenings.
• Proof of government-issued photo ID.
• Physical exam within the last 12 months.
• Negative TB test or chest X-ray within 1 year.
• Required immunizations or positive titers for Rubeola, Mumps, Rubella, Hepatitis B, Varicella.
• Drug screening (10-panel, excluding THC) within 6 months.
• Flu vaccination or approved exemption required annually.
• Fit mask test completed onsite during orientation.
• Visual acuity exam (20/40 or better).
• Latex questionnaire completed.
• Two professional references within the last 2 years.
• Employment application and skills checklist updated annually.
• Work history verification for at least 1 year prior to start date (New Jersey candidates).

Additional Notes

• Local candidates living within 50 miles may have different pay considerations (not included here).
• Candidates must be ready to submit Return to Office (RTO) documentation at time of application; late submissions are not accepted.
• Badge photo submission and other facility-specific documents are required prior to start.
• Prior travel experience is NOT required but preferred.

This position is ideal for experienced CVICU nurses with strong cardiac recovery skills and familiarity with advanced cardiac support devices.
