    Location: Modesto, California
    Employment Type: Travel/Contract
    Contract Length: 13 weeks


    Job Description

    Perform routine and specialized computerized tomography (CT) procedures to produce quality images for diagnosis, treatment, monitoring, and prevention of injury or disease. Work independently using sound judgment and clinical skills to execute safe and precise procedures, delivering accurate results in a timely manner. Build confidence and cooperation from patients, their families/support groups, and healthcare providers through competent patient assessment, attentive monitoring, and effective communication.

    Shift:

    • Monday to Thursday
    • Nights, 4 shifts x 10 hours (20:30 - 07:00)
    • No on-call requirements; call-back opportunities are voluntary

    Required Qualifications

    • Valid CT Technologist license in California
    • Minimum of 1 year of CT Technologist experience, including experience within the last year
    • BLS (Basic Life Support) certification
    • California Fluoroscopy Certification
    • Experience with CT procedures on trauma patients, specifically performing stroke protocols (CTA Head and Perfusion studies)

    Background and Compliance Requirements

    • 7-year background check required within 6 months of start
    • Annual updates for EPLS/GSA/SAM, HHS/OIG, and FACIS Level 3 screening
    • Education verification (highest level achieved) required
    • Sex offender search within 90 days of start
    • Drug screening: Negative 9-panel drug screen within 6 months of start (excluding marijuana/cannabinoids per California law)
    • Physical exam within 1 year of start
    • Fit mask test within 1 year of start, renewed annually (with accommodations for religious exemptions or facial hair)
    • Immunizations and titers required:
      • Tetanus/Diphtheria/Tdap (within 10 years)
      • Measles, Mumps, Rubella (MMR)
      • Hepatitis B (series or declination)
      • Varicella
      • Seasonal flu vaccination during flu season (Nov 1 - Apr 30) or signed declination
    • Negative TB test or chest x-ray within 90 days of start, renewed annually
    • Respiratory safety clearance required, renewed annually
    • References: 2 professional references within 3 years (Aya requirement)
    • Full 7 years of work history required on application with no gaps

    Certifications (as applicable)

    • ACLS (Advanced Cardiac Life Support)
    • PALS (Pediatric Advanced Life Support)
    • NRP (Neonatal Resuscitation Program)
    • CCRN (Critical Care RN)
    • TNCC (Trauma Nursing Core Course)
    • NIH Stroke Certification
    • Crisis Prevention Institute (CPI)
    • IV Certification (if applicable)

    Additional Notes

    • Unit-specific skills checklist required, renewed annually
    • Candidate must review and sign various compliance and conduct documents prior to start
    • Religious exemptions for certain requirements (e.g., facial hair, vaccines) are considered on a case-by-case basis with required documentation
    • No prior travel experience explicitly required for this position
