Job Opportunity: Mammography Tech
Location: San Francisco, California
Employment Type: Travel/Contract
Contract Length: 18 weeks
Job Summary
Seeking a Mammography Tech with experience in Radiology/Cardiology. The position involves working primarily 5 days a week, 8-hour shifts from 8:00 AM to 4:30 PM, with occasional Saturdays required.
Required Qualifications
- Valid Mammography Technologist license in California
- Minimum of 2 years of Mammography Technologist experience, including experience within the last year
- Basic Life Support (BLS) certification
- Radiology Mammography (RHM) certification
- Graduation from an accredited Radiologic Technologist Program or equivalent education/experience
Background and Compliance Requirements
- 7-year background check including SSN trace, county searches, sex offender, education verification, and other federal/state screenings.
- Annual updates required for EPLS/GSA/SAM, HHS/OIG, and FACIS Level 3 screenings.
- Education verification of highest level achieved (not required if highest education is high school).
- Drug screening: Negative 9-panel drug screen within 6 months of start (excluding marijuana/cannabinoids due to California law).
- Physical exam within 1 year of start.
- Fit mask test within 1 year of start, renewed annually (with accommodations considered for religious exemptions or facial hair).
- Immunizations and titers required:
- Tetanus/Diphtheria/Tdap (within 10 years)
- Measles (Rubeola), Mumps, Rubella (MMR)
- Hepatitis B series or declination
- Varicella
- Seasonal Flu vaccination during flu season (Nov-April) or signed declination
- Negative TB test or chest x-ray within 90 days of start, with annual renewal.
- Respiratory safety clearance required annually (not required for some non-clinical roles).
Documentation and Verification
- Must provide full 7 years of work history with no gaps.
- Employment verification required for up to 7 years; gaps over 30 days must be explained.
- Professional references required (2 for clinical/allied/per diem acute care; 1 for per diem non-acute care).
- Must review and sign facility-specific documents including job description, standards of business conduct, code of conduct, vendor training, and other regulatory forms prior to start.
- Religious accommodation requests for vaccines or facial hair must be approved through a formal process.
Shift Details
- Monday through Friday, 8:00 AM to 4:30 PM (5x8s)
- Occasional Saturdays required
