Registered Nurse - Labor & Delivery

Location: Ottumwa, Iowa
Employment Type: Travel
Contract Length: 13 weeks

Job Details

Specialty: Labor & Delivery (L&D)
Shift: 7:00 PM – 7:00 AM
Weekly Guaranteed Hours: 36
Weekend Hours: Every other weekend
Call Requirements: None
Float Requirements: Must be able to float within the hospital to other units as needed
Patient Ratios:
- Active labor: 1:1
- Couplet care: 3:1
Equipment Used: Intermediate fetal monitoring, Philips Tracevue
Electronic Health Record (EHR): Meditech
Patient Population: Laboring mothers and newborns

Required Qualifications

Valid Registered Nurse (RN) license in Iowa
Associate of Science in Nursing (ASN) / Associate Degree in Nursing (ADN)
Minimum 1 year of recent Labor and Delivery (L&D) experience within the last year
Certifications:
- Basic Life Support (BLS)
- Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support (ACLS)
- Neonatal Resuscitation Program (NRP)
- STABLE certification

Additional Information

Start days allowed: Monday or Tuesday
Unit provides care for laboring mothers and newborns with a focus on individualized, seamless care
