Job Opportunity: Labor and Delivery Nurse (Travel/Contract)

Location: Cleveland, Ohio

Contract Length: 13 weeks

Job Description

• Work in a Special Delivery Unit on the night shift (7:00 PM – 7:30 AM)
• Must have 18 months of permanent experience in the specialty prior to travel
• Must have 2 years of recent Labor and Delivery Level III or IV experience, including scrub and circulating experience (travel experience accepted)
• Must work at least every other holiday
• Orientation includes passing an ECG rhythm recognition test and a medication safety exam

Required Qualifications

• Valid RN license in Ohio
• Minimum of 2 years of Labor and Delivery experience, including experience within the last year
• Associate of Science in Nursing (ASN) or Associate Degree in Nursing (ADN)
• Certifications:

  • ACLS issued by American Heart Association or American Red Cross
  • BLS issued by American Heart Association or American Red Cross
  • NRP (Neonatal Resuscitation Program)

Compliance and Documentation Requirements

• Government-issued photo ID (Driver’s License or State ID) required
• Background checks including FBI and BCI fingerprinting (must be completed within 48 hours of contract signing and updated annually)
• Education verification required
• Physical exam within 1 year of start, including assessment of ability to perform essential job functions
• Fit mask test (N95) within 12 months and updated annually
• Immunizations and health screenings required:

  • Tdap every 10 years
  • Negative TB test or chest X-ray as applicable
  • MMR (Measles, Mumps, Rubella) vaccination or positive titer
  • Hepatitis B vaccination or titer or declination
  • Varicella vaccination or positive titer
  • Annual flu vaccination (declinations not accepted without approved exemption)
• Drug screening (standard 10-panel) within 12 months, updated annually
• Eye exam (Snellen) within 1 year of start

Additional Requirements

• Must complete facility-specific online training modules prior to start
• Must submit 2 professional references from employment within the last year (manager, supervisor, charge nurse, or director)
• Employment application must include at least 3 years of prior work history with 2 years in acute care and similar specialty area
• Must complete annual skills checklist

Notes

• Candidates with a break in employment longer than 6 months at this facility may need to repeat orientation and training modules
• Facility requires legal name consistency across all documents
• Fingerprinting must be completed both through the agency and at the facility
• Candidates must be prepared to comply with all health and safety protocols, including immunizations and fit testing
