Job Opportunity: Operating Room Registered Nurse

Location: Philadelphia, Pennsylvania

Contract Length: 13 weeks

Job Description

• Must hold a Pennsylvania or compact nursing license at time of submission.
• Shift schedule includes two 8-hour shifts and two 12-hour shifts (7 AM - 3 PM & 7 AM - 7 PM).
• Must be willing to rotate to 2 weekend shifts.
• On-call requirements over a 6-week schedule:

  • 2 weekend call shifts
  • 4 weeknight call shifts
  • Must work and take on-call for 1 Summer and 1 Winter holiday (shift length may vary between 8 or 12 hours depending on need).
• Required experience: Minimum 3 years in specialty.
• Experience required in Level I Trauma, Liver and Kidney care.
• Additional experience preferred in Orthopedics, Neurology, and Robotic surgery.
• Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BSN) required.
• Charting system used: Cerner.
• No first-time travelers accepted (prior travel experience required).

Required Qualifications

• Valid Registered Nurse (RN) license in Pennsylvania.
• Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BSN).
• Minimum 3 years of Operating Room nursing experience.
• Minimum 3 years of trauma experience, including trauma experience within the last year.
• Experience working with Level 1 Trauma patients.
• Experience in Liver and Kidney care.
• Experience in Orthopedics, Neurology, and Robotic surgery.
• Completion of at least one travel nursing assignment.

Additional Notes

• Must be willing to work required call shifts and holiday coverage.
• Orientation includes pass/fail testing; failure results in contract cancellation.
• Facility uses Cerner electronic charting system.
• Candidates must provide a photo for badge issuance.
• COVID-19 vaccination is no longer required prior to start but medical/religious exemptions require mask use at work. Booster preferred but not mandatory.

This position is ideal for experienced Registered Nurses with trauma and surgical experience who have prior travel nursing assignments and are comfortable with rotating shifts, on-call duties, and holiday coverage.
