Job Description

• Position requires Registered Nurse with Cardiac Operating Room (CVOR) experience.
• Must have scrub experience; candidate will be working in a scrub capacity.
• Cardiac call required (approximately 6 minimum calls per month; may increase if short staffed).
• On-call shifts include 1 per weekday and 2 weekend shifts (weekends are 24-hour shifts).
• Clinician may float within scope to meet facility needs.
• Block scheduling is not accommodated.
• Locals accepted at the same rate.
• Pending licenses are not accepted.
• Guaranteed hours: 36 hours for 3x12 shifts or 40 hours for 8/10 shifts.
• Must be nicotine-free; negative 10-panel drug screen plus nicotine (cotinine) test required.
• Facility is smoke-free.

Required Qualifications

• Valid RN license in Florida
• Minimum 2 years of CVOR experience, including scrub experience
• CVOR experience within the last year
• Associate of Science in Nursing / Associate Degree in Nursing
• Basic Life Support (BLS) issued by American Heart Association or American Red Cross
• Advanced Cardiac Life Support (ACLS) issued by American Heart Association or American Red Cross
• NIH Stroke Scale (NIHSS) certification

Compliance and Onboarding Requirements

• Background checks including 7-year criminal history, EPLS/GSA/SAM, HHS/OIG required and must be current.
• Florida AHCA Level II fingerprint clearance required prior to start.
• Drug testing: Negative 10-panel drug screen within 1 year of start.
• Physical exam within 6 months of start.
• Immunizations and health documents required:

  • TB test or chest X-ray within 1 year
  • Measles, Mumps, Rubella (2 vaccines or positive titer)
  • Hepatitis B (titer, vaccine series, or declination)
  • Varicella (2 vaccines, titer, or history)
  • Seasonal flu vaccine required (medical/religious exemptions allowed)
  • COVID-19 vaccination or approved exemption required
• Two professional references within 2 years required.
• Pass/fail testing (EKG/Pharmacology) during orientation.
• Completion of online onboarding modules prior to start (must be done on a computer using Google Chrome).
• Must be nicotine-free; cotinine test required.
• Must comply with facility’s privacy policies and complete all required documentation.
