Job Opportunity: CT Technologist

Location: Akron, Ohio
Employment Type: Long-Term Assignment (LTA)
Contract Length: 13 weeks


Job Summary

Operate Computerized Tomography (CT) and Radiologic equipment to produce diagnostic CT scans and radiographs under indirect supervision. Responsibilities include:

  • Processing patient records to initiate procedure results timely
  • Evaluating images with Radiologist and taking additional images as needed
  • Assisting with invasive procedures
  • Performing other duties as training and skills allow

Required Qualifications

Education & Licensure

  • Valid CT Technologist license in Ohio
  • Registered by the American Registry of Radiologic Technologists (ARRT)

Experience

  • Minimum 1 year of CT Technologist experience within the last year
  • Experience in an acute care setting

Certifications

  • Basic Life Support (BLS) certification issued by the American Heart Association (AHA)

Onboarding & Compliance Requirements

  • Fit Test (N95 or equivalent respirator mask, updated annually)
  • Pre-employment physical confirming ability to safely perform essential job functions
  • Unit-specific competency exam and skills checklist, updated annually
  • Core competencies including HIPAA, OSHA, and Joint Commission topics, updated annually
  • Immunizations and health screenings including:
    • MMR (titer or 2 adult vaccines)
    • Hepatitis B (titer or complete vaccine series)
    • Influenza vaccine (required October-April)
    • 2-step PPD or IGRA (Quantiferon/Tspot) testing
    • Varicella (titer or 2 adult vaccines)
    • COVID-19 vaccination strongly recommended (medical/religious exemptions considered)
  • Negative 10-panel drug screen within 30 days of start, updated annually
  • Criminal background check, OIG search, EPLS search, and education verification as per policy
  • Social Security card or number verification

  • Application must include at least 3 years of prior work history, including 2 years of clinical practice in an acute care setting similar to the assignment
  • No prior travel experience requirement specified for this role
