Registered Nurse - Med Surg Telemetry

Location: Tuscaloosa, Alabama

Job Description

• Work in a 36-bed Renal Unit caring for patients with kidney-related conditions, including acute or chronic kidney disease and renal replacement therapy.
• Patient ratio is 1:6.
• Specialize in post-hemodialysis and ongoing peritoneal dialysis care.
• Collaborate closely with nephrologists, family practice providers, and hospitalists.
• Support patients throughout their diagnosis, treatment, and recovery journey.
• Must be willing to float to other units and hospitals as needed.
• Work schedule options include 36 or 48 hours per week.
• Required to work holidays as needed and every other weekend.
• Clinical, patient-facing role.
• EMR system used: Meditech.
• Dress code: Solid navy scrub colors.
• Parking available.

Required Qualifications

• Valid Registered Nurse (RN) license in the State of Alabama.
• Associate of Science in Nursing (ASN) or Associate Degree in Nursing (ADN).
• Minimum of 1 year of recent experience in Med Surg / Telemetry within the last year.
• Current AHA BLS or Red Cross BLS certification.

Additional Information

• Must be willing to float to other units/hospitals.
• Guaranteed 36 hours per week.
• This is a clinical, patient-facing position.
