Location: Columbus, Ohio
Employment Type: Travel/Contract
Contract Length: 13 weeks
Job Overview
Seeking a skilled and experienced CT Technologist to work in a Level I trauma center environment. The role involves performing CT procedures in a fast-paced emergency room setting with emergent inpatient needs.
Work Environment
- Level I Trauma Center
- Stroke Accredited
- Inpatient, ER, Operating Room, Adult ICU
- Community hospital setting
- Shift: 3x12 hour night shifts (7:00 PM - 7:30 AM)
- Works every third weekend
- On-call once every 10 weeks
Responsibilities
- Perform CT scans including abdomen, pelvis, head/neck, chest, spine, musculoskeletal, and brain perfusion
- Operate CT equipment efficiently to ensure high-quality imaging
- Collaborate with healthcare teams to ensure patient safety and comfort
- Maintain accurate patient records and comply with regulatory standards
- Participate in on-call rotation and respond promptly to emergent situations
Required Qualifications
- Valid CT Technologist license in Ohio
- Minimum 1 year of CT Technologist experience within the last year
- Current BLS (Basic Life Support) certification
- Current ARRT (American Registry of Radiologic Technologists) certification
Licensure & Certifications
- BLS and ARRT required
- AART Advanced preferred
Background & Compliance Requirements
- 7-year criminal background check within 90 days of start
- FBI and BCI fingerprinting required prior to start
- Monthly monitoring through workforce systems
- Education accreditation verification required
- Drug screening: Negative 10-panel drug test within 3 months of start
- Physical exam within 1 year of start confirming good health and free of contagious disease
- Immunizations and health documents required including:
- Tetanus/Diphtheria/Tdap
- Negative TB test or chest X-ray within 1 year
- MMR (Measles, Mumps, Rubella) vaccination or positive titer
- Hepatitis B titer or vaccine series
- Varicella vaccination or positive titer
- Seasonal flu vaccination or declination during flu season
- Annual review and acknowledgment of dress code, hand hygiene, ethics, and compliance policies
Additional Requirements
- 2 professional references required (at least one from a manager or formal leadership)
- Employment application and skills checklist required
- Unit-specific competency exams may be required
- Orientation safety manual acknowledgment annually
Shift Details
- Night shifts: 7:00 PM to 7:30 AM, 3 shifts per week
- Every third weekend working
- On-call once every 10 weeks
