Job Opportunity: Registered Nurse - Oncology
Location: Columbus, Ohio
Employment Type: Travel/Contract
Contract Length: 16 weeks
Job Description
- Work in a mixed acuity Medical-Surgical/Telemetry (MS/Tele) and Medical-Surgical (MS) unit with oncology patients.
- Patient diagnoses include:
- Acute Lymphoblastic Leukemia (ALL)
- Acute Myeloid Leukemia (Adult)
- Amyloidosis
- Aplastic Anemia
- Chronic Leukemia (CLL, Myeloid)
- Hodgkin's Lymphoma
- Multiple Myeloma
- Myelodysplastic Syndrome
- Myeloproliferative Disorders
- Non-Hodgkin’s Lymphoma
- Special procedures include:
- Autologous, Syngeneic, and Allogeneic Stem Cell Transplants
- CAR-T Therapy
Shift: 12-hour day/night rotating shifts; schedule may include days, nights, or a combination based on department needs. Shift assignments reviewed every 4 weeks but are not guaranteed.
Required Qualifications
- Valid Registered Nurse (RN) license in Ohio
- Minimum 1 year of oncology nursing experience, with oncology experience within the last year
- Medical-Surgical and Telemetry nursing experience
- Basic Life Support (BLS) certification issued by the American Heart Association
- Oncology Nursing Society (ONS) Chemotherapy Certification
- Oncology Certified Nurse (OCN) credential
- Associate of Science in Nursing (ASN) or Associate Degree in Nursing (ADN)
- Proficient in telemetry monitoring
- Experience with feeding tube care and management
- Experience with PICC line management
