Physical Therapist - Home Health
Location: Red Bluff, California
Contract Length: 13 weeks
Job Description
Seeking an experienced Physical Therapist for a travel assignment in Home Health. The role involves providing skilled therapy primarily to orthopedic and geriatric patients with multiple comorbidities such as CHF and COPD.
Requirements
- Minimum 2 years of experience as a Physical Therapist
- Active California Physical Therapy license
- BLS Certification
Work Details
- Average daily census: 78 patients (expected to grow)
- Typical caseload: Approximately 5 visits per day
- Patient types: Orthopedic/joint replacements, geriatric patients with multiple comorbidities
- Service area covers most of Tehama County with some travel required (approx. 40 miles per day, expected to decrease)
- Occasional Saturday shifts for orthopedic patients
- Holidays off
- Work hours: 8-hour day shifts, every other week schedule
- EMR system: Netsmart (laptop provided)
- No call or vent care required
Additional Information
- Staff includes intake RN and office manager support
- Nurse aides available
- No floor-specific orientation required
