Description
CT Technologist - Newton, Massachusetts (LTA Contract)
Job Summary
- Perform a variety of Computed Tomography (CT) procedures under the direction of a qualified physician, technical specialist, and CT Operations Manager.
- Use prescribed levels of ionizing radiation to produce quality diagnostic images of specified body parts.
- Work with patients ranging from newborn to geriatric.
- Able to insert and remove IVs.
- Follow all federal, state, local, and hospital policies and procedures.
Requirements
Education & Experience
- Graduate of an accredited school of Radiologic Technology.
- Minimum of 1 year of Radiology experience required.
- Knowledge of the special needs and behaviors of adult and older adult patients preferred.
Licenses & Certifications
- Licensed by the State of Massachusetts Radiation Control Board.
- ARRT Registered - RT (R) or RT (N).
- ARRT Registry in Computed Tomography preferred.
- If no CT license at time of hire, must obtain CT license within one year.
- CPR certified.
Contract Length
- 13 weeks.

Certifications & Licenses (Required before or at onboarding)
- BLS (AHA, Red Cross, CHSF, or Military accepted; AHA preferred).
- License/Certificate Verification (Primary source verification within 30 days of start).
- ARRT certification.
- CPR certification.
- MGB Criminal Background Check (within 45 days prior to start).
- Massachusetts CORI background check (within 30 days prior to start).
- National Sex Offender Check (within 30 days prior to start, updated annually).
- Exclusion Checks (OIG, GSA, MassHealth & NH Medicaid; within 30 days prior to start and annually).
- Education Verification (highest level achieved).
- Social Security Number Trace (past 7 years addresses).
- Resume including past 7 years of work experience.
- Two recent references (minimum one supervisor or above).
- Skills Checklist.
- Candidate Submission Coversheet.
Personal Health History & Immunizations (Required before or at onboarding)
- Fit Test for N95 respirator (within 365 days, updated annually).
- MMR vaccination or proof of immunity.
- Influenza vaccine during flu season (Sept 15 - April 30; no exemptions).
- TB test documentation (skin test or blood test within 3 months, updated if >6 month break).
- Health Statement signed by MD/DO/NP/PA (within 365 days, updated if >6 month break).
- Respirator Medical Clearance Attestation (if fit test required).
- Tdap vaccine within 10 years (preferred).
- Hepatitis B vaccination or proof of immunity (strongly preferred).
- Positive PPD with negative chest x-ray documentation (if applicable).
- TB Symptom Survey (if positive PPD; recommended).
Other Requirements
- Confirmation of Assignment/POI Form upon acceptance and for extensions.
- MGB NWH Self-Study Orientation & Attestation.
This position is a Long-Term Assignment (LTA) for 13 weeks in Newton, Massachusetts, requiring a licensed and certified CT Technologist with at least 1 year of radiology experience and the ability to work with a diverse patient population.
