Registered Nurse - Med Surg Telemetry

Location: Lake Havasu City, Arizona

Job Description

• Shift: 7 PM (night shift)
• Weekly Guaranteed Hours: 36
• Weekend Hours: 4 weekend shifts in a 4-week schedule period
• Call Requirements: None scheduled; may flex scheduled shifts to on-call twice during contract
• Floating: Expected to float to other units including Intermediate Care (IMC) and Emergency Department (ED)
• Patient Ratio: 1:6
• Unit Beds: 40
• Patient Population: Adult and geriatric patients
• Patient Types: Total joint patients, surgical patients, acute coronary syndrome (ACS), acute on chronic medical conditions (CHF, CKD), alcohol withdrawal, systemic inflammatory response syndrome (SIRS), gastrointestinal bleeding (GIB)
• Equipment Used: Baxter IV pumps, Posey bed/chair alarms, Omnicell drug dispensing cabinet, Zoll defibrillators
• Electronic Health Record (EHR): Medhost

Required Qualifications

• Valid RN license in Arizona
• Minimum 2 years of Medical-Surgical Telemetry experience, including experience within the last year
• Recent acute care and acute care experience
• ACLS certification
• BLS certification
• Associate of Science in Nursing (ASN) or Associate Degree in Nursing (ADN)

Additional Information

• No block schedule requests; 48-hour shifts can be considered but not guaranteed
• Dress Code: Black scrubs (top and bottom); open shoes not allowed
