Registered Respiratory Therapist (RRT)

Location: Neptune, New Jersey

Job Summary

The Registered Respiratory Therapist provides and administers all aspects of respiratory care therapy and supportive equipment under medical direction. Responsibilities include:

• Delivering respiratory therapy for patients with cardiopulmonary deficiencies.
• Assisting with intubation and managing ventilator setup.
• Evaluating patient needs through testing, education, and collaboration with healthcare professionals.
• Educating patients and caregivers based on identified needs.
• Maintaining professional rapport with patients, caregivers, and team members.
• Performing other assigned duties as needed.
• Adhering to organizational competencies and standards of behavior.
• Physical requirements include lifting, pushing, pulling a minimum of 5 lbs., and standing for at least 1 hour daily.

Required Qualifications

Education

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Graduate of an accredited Respiratory Therapy program.

Certifications & Licensure

• Valid Registered Respiratory Therapist license in New Jersey.
• BLS (Basic Life Support) issued by the American Heart Association.
• ACLS (Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support).
• PALS (Pediatric Advanced Life Support).

Experience

• Minimum of 1 year of Respiratory Therapist experience, including experience within the last year.
