Registered Nurse - Med Surg

Location: Elko, Nevada

Job Summary

Seeking a Registered Nurse with experience in Medicine, Surgery, Telemetry, and Pediatrics to work in an acute care setting. The position involves 12-hour shifts with a guaranteed 36 hours per week. Weekend hours are variable, and call requirements are as per contract. There is potential to float to other departments based on patient census and needs.

Patient Population: Pediatric, Adult, Geriatric
Equipment: Omnicell Medication Dispenser, Baxter pumps, Masimo Monitors, GE Telemetry Monitoring system
Electronic Health Record (EHR): MEDHOST

Required Qualifications

Valid Registered Nurse (RN) license in Nevada
Minimum 1 year of Med Surg experience within the last year
Associate of Science in Nursing (ASN) or Associate Degree in Nursing (ADN)
Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support (ACLS) certification
Pediatric Advanced Life Support (PALS) certification
Basic Life Support (BLS) certification

Preferred Experience

Experience in Med/Surg and Telemetry preferred
Familiarity with common diagnoses and treatments such as COPD, CHF, pre/post Cath Lab care, orthopedic surgery, general surgery, and acute respiratory failure (adult and pediatric)

Additional Information

Float requirements: May be required to float to other departments depending on patient census and department needs
Shift: 12-hour shifts
Weekly guaranteed hours: 36
Call requirements as per contract
Fit testing is offered on-site
Dress code: Scrubs of any color are acceptable; no mandatory scrub colors
