Job Opportunity: Nuclear Medicine Tech

Location: Modesto, California
Employment Type: Travel/Contract
Contract Length: 13 weeks

Job Description

• Support nuclear stress tests, performing approximately 12 tests per day.
• May be required to float to a nearby location for coverage as needed.
• Shift: 5 days a week, 8-hour day shifts starting between 6:30 AM and 7:00 AM.
• Weekend work as required by unit needs.

Required Qualifications

• Valid Nuclear Medicine Technologist license in California.
• Minimum of 1 year of Nuclear Medicine Technologist experience, including experience within the last year.
• ARRT Nuclear Medicine (N) or Nuclear Medicine Technologist (NMT) certification.
• Basic Life Support (BLS) certification.
• Registered Health Nuclear (RHN) certification.

Experience

• Specialty: Radiology / Cardiology (Nuclear Medicine).
• Required years of experience: Not explicitly stated; assume minimum standard for Nuclear Medicine Tech roles.
• No explicit requirement for prior travel experience.

Certifications & Compliance

• Must have current BLS certification (AHA or ARC).
• Background checks including 7-year history, education verification, and various federal/state screenings are required.

Additional Requirements

• Must complete various facility-specific documents and trainings prior to start, including:

  • Job description review and acknowledgment.
  • Standards of business conduct.
  • Vendor training and code of conduct for the applicable year.
  • TB screening questionnaire within 90 days of start.
• Employment application must include a full 7 years of work history with no gaps.
• References: 2 professional references required for clinical/allied travel roles.

• Floating to other nearby locations may be required.
• Weekend shifts may be necessary based on unit needs.
• All background checks and verifications must be completed prior to start.
• Religious and medical exemptions for certain immunizations and mask fit testing may be considered on a case-by-case basis with proper documentation.
