Registered Nurse - Med/Surg Ortho

Location: Billings, Montana
Employment Type: Staffing - Supplier Sourced
Contract Length: 13 weeks


Job Summary

  • Perform independent nursing functions and delegated medical functions according to state Board of Nursing standards.
  • Assess, plan, implement, and evaluate nursing care.
  • Evaluate health status through ongoing collection and assessment of health data.
  • Provide health teaching and counseling.
  • Deliver therapy and treatment supportive and restorative to patient well-being, either directly or through consultation, delegation, supervision, or teaching.
  • Execute delegated medical functions.
  • Refer patients for further evaluation or treatment as needed.
  • Review and monitor therapy and treatment plans.
  • Document care in accordance with hospital and regulatory guidelines.
  • Use resources as needed.
  • May float to other departments within scope of competency and qualifications based on business needs.
  • May be required to be on-call during a regularly scheduled shift.

Required Qualifications

  • Valid Registered Nurse (RN) license in Montana.
  • Minimum of 1 year of Med/Surg nursing experience, with recent Med/Surg experience within the last year.
  • Experience in Orthopedics.
  • Basic Life Support (BLS) certification issued by the American Heart Association.
  • Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support (ACLS) certification issued by the American Heart Association, or Neonatal Resuscitation Program (NRP), or Pediatric Advanced Life Support (PALS) issued by the American Heart Association.
  • Associate of Science in Nursing (ASN) or Associate Degree in Nursing (ADN).

Preferred Qualifications

  • Previous experience as a Registered Nurse is preferred.
