Registered Nurse - Med/Surg Ortho

Location: Billings, Montana
Employment Type: Staffing - Supplier Sourced
Contract Length: 13 weeks

Job Summary

Perform independent nursing functions and delegated medical functions according to state Board of Nursing standards.
Assess, plan, implement, and evaluate nursing care.
Evaluate health status through ongoing collection and assessment of health data.
Provide health teaching and counseling.
Deliver therapy and treatment supportive and restorative to patient well-being, either directly or through consultation, delegation, supervision, or teaching.
Execute delegated medical functions.
Refer patients for further evaluation or treatment as needed.
Review and monitor therapy and treatment plans.
Document care in accordance with hospital and regulatory guidelines.
Use resources as needed.
May float to other departments within scope of competency and qualifications based on business needs.
May be required to be on-call during a regularly scheduled shift.

Required Qualifications

Valid Registered Nurse (RN) license in Montana.
Minimum of 1 year of Med/Surg nursing experience, with recent Med/Surg experience within the last year.
Experience in Orthopedics.
Basic Life Support (BLS) certification issued by the American Heart Association.
Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support (ACLS) certification issued by the American Heart Association, or Neonatal Resuscitation Program (NRP), or Pediatric Advanced Life Support (PALS) issued by the American Heart Association.
Associate of Science in Nursing (ASN) or Associate Degree in Nursing (ADN).

Preferred Qualifications

Previous experience as a Registered Nurse is preferred.
