Job Opportunity: Cath Lab RN
Location: Austin, Texas
Employment Type: Long-Term Assignment (approximately 13 weeks)
Shift: Day shift, four 10-hour shifts per week (7:00 AM – 5:30 PM)
Additional Requirements: Weeknight and weekend call required with a 30-minute call-back response time
Job Description
Seeking experienced Cath Lab Registered Nurse for day shift coverage. The role includes participation in weeknight and weekend call rotations with a strict 30-minute call-back requirement.
Required Qualifications
- Valid RN license in Texas
- Cardiac Cath Lab (2 years of experience)
- Cardiac Cath Lab experience within the last year
- BLS issued by American Heart Association
- ACLS issued by American Heart Association
- Associate of Science in Nursing / Associate Degree in Nursing
Required Credentials and Compliance
- Professional resume/profile submission required
- Signed assignment agreement and onboarding documentation
- Specialty competency exams and skills checklists completed prior to assignment and updated as required (including specialty exam, EKG exam, core competencies)
- Health and immunization requirements including:
- MMR (two vaccines or positive titer)
- Varicella (two vaccines or immunity evidence)
- Tdap (valid within 10 years)
- Influenza vaccine (seasonal, exemptions accepted with mask requirement)
- Hepatitis B vaccination or signed declination
- TB screening (2-step PPD or IGRA, chest x-ray if positive)
- Fit test for respiratory protection (annual)
- Drug screening: 12-panel drug screen within 30 days prior to start and annually thereafter
- Background checks including criminal, employment, and professional verifications completed and updated as required
- Driver’s license or state ID matching address on file
Additional Information
- Completion of onboarding modules and attestations specific to the specialty and employer requirements
- Compliance with HIPAA, Joint Commission, OSHA, and other regulatory standards
- Documentation of good health or physical exam prior to assignment start, updated annually
- Some optional documents such as unit-specific checklists and badge photo may be requested
Summary
This Cath Lab RN position requires an experienced registered nurse with current licensure and certifications, able to work day shifts with call responsibilities. Candidates must meet comprehensive credentialing, health, and compliance requirements prior to assignment start. The contract length is approximately 13 weeks.
