Location: Cincinnati, Ohio

Job Description

Provide specialized nursing care to patients with kidney disease, including those undergoing kidney transplant. Care is based on nursing principles and tailored to culturally and age-specific needs. The role involves assessment, planning, implementation, and evaluation of patient care in a medical/surgical unit specializing in renal care.

The unit is a 24-bed medical/surgical setting focused on kidney disease and transplant patients, including care for living related, cadaveric, or paired exchange kidney transplants. Nurses are trained in unique skills such as peritoneal dialysis (manual and cycler methods) and participate in specialized pharmacologic research studies. The unit also provides remote telemetry monitoring for some beds and cares for a variety of general medical/surgical patients.


Required Qualifications

  • Valid RN license in Ohio
  • Associate of Science in Nursing (ASN) or Associate Degree in Nursing (ADN)
  • Minimum of 1 year of nephrology experience within the last year
  • Dialysis experience
  • BLS certification issued by the American Heart Association
