Registered Nurse - Med Surg Telemetry

Location: Lake Havasu City, Arizona
Employment Type: Travel
Contract Length: 8 weeks

Job Details

Shift: 7 PM
Weekly Hours: 36 hours guaranteed
Weekend Shifts: 4 weekend shifts in a 4-week schedule
Call Requirements: None scheduled; may flex scheduled shifts to on-call up to twice during contract
Float Requirements: Expected to float to other units including Intermediate Care (IMC) and Emergency Department (ED)
Patient Ratio: 1:6
Unit Beds: 40
Patient Population: Adult and geriatric patients
Type of Patients:
- Total joint patients
- Surgical patients
- Acute Coronary Syndrome (ACS)
- Acute on chronic medical conditions such as Congestive Heart Failure (CHF), Chronic Kidney Disease (CKD)
- Alcohol withdrawal
- Systemic Inflammatory Response Syndrome (SIRS)
- Gastrointestinal Bleeding (GIB)

Required Qualifications

Valid Registered Nurse (RN) license in Arizona
Associate of Science in Nursing (ASN) or Associate Degree in Nursing (ADN)
Minimum 2 years of Med Surg / Telemetry experience, including experience within the last year
Recent acute care experience in Med Surg / Telemetry or acute care settings
Acute Care experience
ACLS certification
BLS certification

Work Environment & Equipment

EHR System: Medhost
Equipment Used:
- Baxter IV pumps
- Posey bed/chair alarms
- Omnicell drug dispensing cabinet
- Zoll defibrillators

Additional Information

Shift Flexibility: Candidates should indicate if they can work day or night shifts; 48-hour shifts may be considered but are not guaranteed
Dress Code: Black scrubs (top and bottom); open shoes are not allowed
