Cath Lab Tech

Location: Flemington, New Jersey
Schedule:

• 4 shifts of 10 hours each per week (4x10s)
• Flexible start time between 6:30 AM and 7:30 AM
• On-call preferred: up to 10 days per month (average 6 days)
• On-call shifts start at either 5 PM or 7 PM and end at 6:30 AM
• Must be within 30 minutes of the hospital for on-call; on-call rooms available if outside this radius

Position Summary

The Cath Lab Tech serves as a member of the Cardiovascular Catheterization Team. Independently performs technical duties associated with cardiac catheterization procedures, assists physicians during procedures, and supports nursing staff with patient care activities.

Primary Responsibilities

• Prepare the Catheterization Laboratory and equipment for procedures
• Maintain supply inventory and ensure a clean environment of care
• Act as scrub assistant during diagnostic, interventional, and other Cath Lab procedures
• Function as hemodynamic monitor and control room operator during procedures, ensuring accurate recordkeeping
• Provide high-quality radiographic imaging, including quality assurance and radiation safety
• Review procedure orders and patient medical records; explain procedures and answer patient questions
• Maintain records of images, reports, equipment maintenance, and inventory control

Required Qualifications

• Valid Cath Lab Technologist license in New Jersey
• Graduate of an accredited Radiology Technology program
• Registered Radiology Technologist (ARRT credential)
• Minimum 1 year of recent Cath Lab (Cardiac Cath Lab) experience

Additional Requirements

• Must pass background checks, drug screening, and various health screenings including TB, Hepatitis B, MMR, Influenza, Varicella, and COVID-19 vaccination plus booster
• Must have a valid driver’s license
• Completion of mandatory annual training and orientation
• Ability to pass color vision screening and fit mask test

Contract Length

• Approximately 13 weeks
