Registered Nurse - Labor & Delivery

Location: Sanford, North Carolina
Employment Type: Travel
Contract Length: 13 weeks
Shift: Nights
Weekly Hours: 36 (Guaranteed)
Weekend Hours: Every Other Weekend
Call Requirements: As needed / On request

  • Number of Beds: 17 Labor & Delivery rooms and 5 OB rooms (all one unit)

  • Float Requirements: As needed

Required Certifications

  • ACLS (Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support)
  • BLS (Basic Life Support)
  • CPI/HWC/MAB (Crisis Prevention Intervention / Healthcare Worker Certification / Medication Administration by RN)
  • AWHONN (Association of Women’s Health, Obstetric and Neonatal Nurses)
  • NRP (Neonatal Resuscitation Program)
  • PALS (Pediatric Advanced Life Support)

Required Qualifications

  • Valid Registered Nurse (RN) license in North Carolina
  • Associate of Science in Nursing (ASN) or Associate Degree in Nursing (ADN)
  • Minimum of 1 year of Labor and Delivery experience, including experience within the last year
  • Experience in Women’s Services
  • Current ACLS, BLS, and PALS certifications issued by the American Heart Association
  • Current CPI or HWC or MAB certification
  • Current AWHONN certification
  • Current NRP certification

Additional Information

  • Orientation is held weekly on Mondays
  • Candidates must be located 60 miles or more from the facility to qualify as Travel
  • The facility is a 137-bed acute care hospital with a broad range of specialties and certifications, including Primary Stroke Center and Chest Pain Center accreditations
  • Location offers a small-town charm with access to larger metropolitan areas and recreational amenities
