Job Opportunity: ICU Registered Nurse (Travel/Contract)

Location: Mayfield Heights, Ohio
Contract Length: 13 weeks

Job Details

• Shift: Night shift, 3 shifts per week, 12 hours each (7:00 PM – 7:30 AM)
• Unit: Critical Care / ICU
• Experience Required: Minimum of 18 months recent Med/Surg Telemetry experience
• License: Active Ohio RN license or active compact state RN license required
• Certifications:

  • AHA Basic Life Support (BLS)
  • Advanced Cardiac Life Support (ACLS)
• Orientation:

  • 32-40 hours orientation paid at 50% of base hourly rate
  • Must pass ECG rhythm recognition test and SafeMedicate medication exam during orientation

Required Qualifications

• Valid RN license in Ohio
• Minimum 1 year of ICU (Intensive Care Unit) experience within the last year
• Minimum 18 months recent Med/Surg Telemetry nursing experience
• Current ACLS certification issued by American Heart Association or American Red Cross
• Current Basic Life Support (BLS) certification issued by American Heart Association or American Red Cross
• Associate of Science in Nursing (ASN) or Associate Degree in Nursing (ADN)

Compliance & Documentation Requirements

• Government-issued photo ID required
• Background checks including FCRA-compliant 7-year search, EPLS/GSA/SAM, HHS/OIG, and fingerprinting (FBI and BCI) within 12 months, updated annually
• Education verification required
• Physical exam within 1 year of start, including capability assessment
• Fit mask test (N95) within 12 months, updated annually
• Immunizations and health screenings required:

  • Tetanus/Diphtheria/Tdap (every 10 years)
  • Negative TB test or chest X-ray (annual updates)
  • MMR (Measles, Mumps, Rubella) vaccinations or positive titers
  • Hepatitis B vaccination or titer or declination
  • Varicella vaccination or titer
  • Seasonal flu vaccination documentation (no declinations accepted)
• Drug screening: Standard 10-panel drug screen within 12 months, updated annually
• Eye exam (Snellen) within 1 year of start

Additional Requirements

• References: 2 professional references from employment within the last year (manager, supervisor, charge nurse, or director)
• Employment application with at least 3 years prior work history, including 2 years clinical acute care experience in a similar area
• Annual skills checklist
• Completion of facility-specific online training modules prior to start (must be done on a computer using Google Chrome)
• Acknowledgement of pass/fail testing policies and orientation safety manual

Notes

• Candidates may start with fingerprinting results pending if fingerprinting is completed prior to start
• Candidates with a break in employment longer than 6 months at this health system may need to retake orientation modules and competency exams
• Facility uses specific systems for submitting hours and documentation compliance
