CT Technologist (Computed Tomography)

Location: Rockford, Illinois
Contract Length: 26 weeks

Job Summary

• Administer Roentgen rays and operate CT equipment.
• Interface with electronic medical records and PACs systems.
• Prepare exam rooms, equipment, supplies, and administer appropriate medications per hospital policy.

Required Qualifications

• Valid CT Technologist license in Illinois
• Minimum of 1 year of CT Technologist experience within the last year
• Registered by the American Registry of Radiologic Technologists (ARRT)
• Basic Life Support (BLS) certification issued by the American Heart Association

Work Environment & Physical Demands

• Exposure to electrical, biohazards, radiant energy hazards, and infectious agents.
• Use of eye and face protection, gowns, sterile and non-sterile gloves, radiation protective clothing, and radiation monitoring devices required.
• Physical demands include lifting, positioning, pushing, and transferring patients; prolonged standing/walking; manual dexterity; and good vision for close and distant observation.

Schedule

• 12-hour shifts starting at either 6:30 AM or 1:30 PM.
• Weekend rotation required, working one Saturday and one Sunday per weekend starting at 6:30 AM.

• Drug-free workplace with mandatory negative drug screen.
• Orientation includes 12 non-billable hours.
• Local rate adjustments apply for clinicians living within 50 miles.
• Call off policy allows 12 hours off every 13 weeks without penalty.
