Description
Job Opportunity: CT Tech
Location: Oakland, California
Employment Type: Travel/Contract
Contract Length: 13 weeks
Schedule
- Tuesday through Saturday
- Must float to a nearby campus (3 miles away) for 1 shift per week
Required Certifications
- CT Certification
- American Registry of Radiologic Technologists (ARRT)
- Basic Life Support (BLS)
- California CRT (Certified Radiologic Technologist)
Required Qualifications
- Valid CT Technologist license in California
- Minimum of 1 year of CT Technologist experience, including experience within the last year
- CT Certification
- American Registry of Radiologic Technologists (ARRT) certification
- Basic Life Support (BLS) certification
- California Certified Radiologic Technologist (CRT) license
Background and Compliance Requirements
- 7-year background check within 6 months of start
- EPLS/GSA/SAM, HHS/OIG, FACIS Level 3, Sex Offender Search, OFAC Sanctions List, and other federal/state screenings as applicable
- Education verification (highest level achieved) required
- Drug screening: Negative 9-panel drug screen within 6 months (excluding marijuana due to CA law)
- Physical exam within 1 year of start
- Fit test for masks required annually (exceptions apply)
- TB screening and annual renewal required
- Immunizations: Tdap, MMR (Measles, Mumps, Rubella), Hepatitis B, Varicella, Flu seasonal vaccination (during flu season)
- Other health documents as required (e.g., color blindness exam if applicable)
Competency Exams (as applicable)
- Medication/Pharmacology competency exam
- General competency exam (minimum passing score 80%)
- Dysrhythmia/EKG competency exam (may be required for some telemetry units)
Additional Notes
- Must review and sign facility-specific documents including standards of business conduct, confidentiality agreements, and orientation materials prior to start
- Candidate must complete employment application with full 7 years of work history, including locations and no gaps
- References: 2 professional references required for clinical positions
- Some floating to a nearby campus required (1 shift per week)
This position is ideal for CT Technologists who are certified, meet California licensing requirements, and are comfortable with a travel contract assignment including some floating responsibilities.
