Job Details

• Patient-to-Nurse Ratio: 2 patients per RN
• Shifts:

  • 8-hour or 12-hour shifts
  • Shift times: 07:00-15:30, 15:00-23:30, 23:00-07:30, or 07:00-19:30 / 19:00-07:30
• Weekend Requirement: Every other weekend
• Holidays: 7 major holidays observed (work scheduled accordingly)
• Floating: Med Surg unit
• Orientation: 1-2 shifts floor-specific orientation

Patient Care & Environment

• Common Diagnoses / Patient Types: Stroke (including TPN), STEMI, non-STEMI
• Drips Administered: Cardizem, Insulin, Propofol, Versed, Vasopressors
• Ventilator: Hamilton C-1
• Support Staff:

  • Tele/Monitor Techs available
  • Nurse aides as needed
  • Respiratory Therapist on call after 6pm with 10-minute response time
  • Pharmacy in-house until 10pm, remote after 10pm
• Charge Nurse: None
• IV Team: None

Required Certifications

• ACLS (AHA)
• BLS (AHA)
• PALS
• TNCC

Required Qualifications

• Valid RN license for the state of Minnesota
• Experience in ICU nursing (minimum 1 year recommended based on specialty)

Additional Notes

• Night/Day rotation shift: Mostly nights but will require some day shifts and every 3rd weekend
• Scrub colors: Royal Blue for RN
