Radiology Technician - Cath Lab

Location: Denville, New Jersey
Employment Type: Long-Term Assignment (LTA)
Contract Length: 13 weeks

Job Description

• Must have Cath Lab experience.
• Work schedule: 6:30 AM to 5:00 PM, 4 days a week, minimum 9 shifts per month.
• Must be available to respond within 30 minutes of a page.
• Call coverage required 24 hours on Saturday and Sunday.
• Required skills and knowledge:

  • Operation of C-Arm Machine.
  • Routine LEAD maintenance.
  • Certification in working fluoroscopy.
  • Assist in Cath Procedures and Percutaneous Coronary Interventions (PCIs).
  • Insertion of Impella and balloon pump devices.
  • Scrubbing in Interventional Radiology (IR) procedures including:

    • Nephrostomy Tube Insertion
    • PICC insertion
    • Permacath insertion
    • Pacemaker insertion
    • Cerebral Thrombectomy
• Radiology Technician should have skills equivalent to Registered Cardiovascular Invasive Specialist (RCIS).
• Priority given to candidates with New Jersey ARRT license.

Required Qualifications

• Minimum 1 year of recent Cath Lab Radiology Technologist experience within the last year.
• Experience as a Cath Lab Technologist.
• Certification or experience with DCI/BVP.
• Valid Radiology Technician license appropriate for New Jersey.
• Certification in fluoroscopy.
• Ability to respond quickly to on-call situations.
• Must meet all required health and safety credentials including:

  • COVID-19 vaccination and booster or completed declination.
  • MMR immunity (proof of vaccination or positive titer).
  • Annual respirator fit test.
  • Hepatitis B vaccination or immunity.
  • Annual influenza vaccine or declination (seasonal requirement).
  • Tuberculosis test within one year of start date.
  • Varicella immunity.
  • Tdap vaccination (declinations may not be accepted in some locations).
  • Annual physical/health statement confirming clearance to work.
• Must pass required professional and background checks including:

  • National criminal background check within one year.
  • Drug screening (minimum 10-panel test including THC).
  • Prime Core Competencies Exam (minimum 80% score).
  • Prime Specialty Exam (minimum 80% score).
  • Skills checklist and orientation packet completion.
• Must provide:

  • Up-to-date resume.
  • Two professional references (one from a manager or direct supervisor).
  • Education verification (diploma or transcripts).
  • Valid government-issued ID (Driver’s License, State ID, or Passport).
  • Clear, professional badge photo.

Additional Information

• Must be able to work in a fast-paced, high-acuity Cath Lab environment.
• Prior travel experience is not explicitly required.
• Candidates should be prepared for on-call responsibilities during weekends.
• Compliance with all onboarding and credentialing requirements is mandatory before start date.
