Job Summary

Seeking a Registered Nurse with Medical Surgical specialty experience to provide patient care on a Medical Surgical unit with an orthopedic focus. The unit has 18 beds with a patient ratio of 1:6 and serves patients of all ages. The role includes float requirements to Rehab and ICU units.

Shift & Hours

• Weekly Guaranteed Hours: 36
• Weekend Hours: Every Other / As Needed
• Call Requirements: As Needed

Required Qualifications

• Valid Registered Nurse (RN) license in Tennessee
• Minimum 1 year of Medical Surgical nursing experience within the last year
• Associate of Science in Nursing (ASN) or Associate Degree in Nursing (ADN)
• Certifications: ACLS, BLS, and PALS required prior to start
• Experience caring for orthopedic patients

Unit & Work Environment

• Medical Surgical unit with orthopedic patient focus
• Patient population includes all ages
• Electronic Health Record system: Medhost Clinician Experience
• Float to Rehab and ICU units required
• Professional dress code; scrubs allowed, casual wear not acceptable

Additional Information

• Orientation occurs biweekly on Mondays
• Candidates must be located 60 miles or more from the facility to qualify as travel staff
• The facility is an acute care hospital with a 99-bed capacity and an accredited chest pain center
