Job Opportunity: Respiratory Therapist

Location: Cleveland, Ohio
Employment Type: Long-Term Assignment (approximately 13 weeks)

Required Qualifications & Credentials

• Valid Registered Respiratory Therapist license in Ohio
• Minimum of 1 year of Respiratory Therapist experience within the last year
• National Board of Respiratory Care (NBRC) certification
• Basic Life Support (BLS) certification

Professional & Compliance Requirements

• Background Checks:

  • Criminal background check within 6 months of start, including Social Security trace, county searches (last 7 years), national criminal sweep, and sex offender registry.
  • Ohio fingerprinting required (BCI&I check and FBI check if resident less than 5 years). Attestations allowed only for pending results with proof of completion.
  • OIG exclusion check, SAM/EPLS/GSA/OFAC screening within 6 months prior to start.
• Employment & Education Verification:

  • Verification of highest education level through third-party. International education requires equivalency documentation.
  • Employment verification for the last 5 years through third-party.
• Drug Screening:

  • 10-panel drug screen within 60 days prior to start. Instant drug screens not accepted. New screen required if break in assignment exceeds 60 days.
• Identification:

  • Non-expired photo ID (Driver’s License or State ID) required.
• Skills & Competency:

  • Completion of clinical skills checklist within 1 year prior to start (one-time requirement).
  • Competency exam with minimum 80% score within 1 year prior to start (one-time requirement).
  • Core competencies including HIPAA, Joint Commission National Patient Safety Goals, OSHA topics completed within 1 year prior to start (one-time requirement).
• Additional:

  • Completion of required safety and compliance training modules prior to clearance; renewal annually.
  • Badge photo (headshot with plain background) required prior to onboarding.
