Job Opportunity: Interventional Radiology Technician
Location: Boston, Massachusetts
Employment Type: Long-Term Assignment (approximately 13 weeks)
Job Description
As an Interventional Radiology Technician, you will support minimally invasive, image-guided procedures. Responsibilities include operating imaging equipment, sterile scrub, and case circulating in radiology and operating room settings. Procedures involve neuro, cardiac, or vascular surgery. Experience with diagnostic and interventional procedures such as angiography, embolization, venous access, venography, myelography, abdominal interventions, paracentesis, thoracentesis, biopsy, TIPS, dialysis access/fistula work, and Y90/SIRT is required.
Required Qualifications
- Valid Interventional Radiology Technologist license in Massachusetts
- Minimum of 1 year of experience as an Interventional Radiology Technologist, including experience within the last year
- ARRT (American Registry of Radiologic Technologists) certification
- BLS (Basic Life Support) certification issued by the American Heart Association or American Red Cross
- Experience in neuro surgery procedures
- Experience in cardiac surgery procedures
- Experience in vascular surgery procedures
Experience Requirements
- Experience with interventional radiology procedures including diagnostic and therapeutic interventions as listed above.
- No explicit years of experience stated; however, demonstrated proficiency in a broad range of IR procedures is expected.
