Description

Registered Nurse (LDRP) - Night Shift

Location

Hutchinson, Kansas

Assignment Details

Contract length: 13 weeks
Shift: Nights
Hours per shift: 12 hours
Hours per week: 36 hours
Weekend requirements: Night shift every third weekend
No on-call required
No floating required unless nurse has competency in other areas

Unit Information

LDRP unit with 8 LDRP beds, 2 OB triage beds, 1 C-section OR, and 4 special care nursery beds
Approximately 40 deliveries per month
Staffing ratios follow AWHONN guidelines:
- Labor: 1:1
- Postpartum couplet care: 1:3-4
- Special Care Nursery: 1:1-2
Staff provide care for labor, vaginal delivery, circulating in C-section OR, recovery, postpartum, and newborn care (initial and routine)
Scrubs provided (light pink top/gray bottoms)

Required Qualifications

Minimum 5 years of nursing experience in LDRP or related specialty
Certifications required:
- BLS (Basic Life Support)
- ACLS (Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support)
- NRP (Neonatal Resuscitation Program)
- STABLE certification preferred but can be worked around if needed
