Description
Registered Nurse (RN) - Operating Room (OR)
Location: Lake Havasu City, Arizona
Employment Type: Travel
Contract Length: 13 weeks
Shift: 6:30 AM – 2:30 PM
Weekly Hours: 36
Facility & Unit Overview
- Community hospital with 171 beds, Joint Commission Accredited
- Certified Chest Pain Center, Level 3 Trauma Center
- Unit handles 10 to 25 surgical cases daily including total joints (hips, knees, shoulders), spine ortho & neuro, craniotomies, robotics (XI DaVinci), OB/GYN, podiatry, urology, general surgery, and plastics
- Patient population primarily orthopedic and neuro surgical cases
- Electronic Health Record system: Meditech
- Call coverage shared among RN, CSTFA, and CST; call frequency depends on staff size (e.g., 3 days/month if 10 staff)
- Float requirements: may be required to float within a 25-mile radius
Required Qualifications
- Valid Registered Nurse (RN) license in Arizona
- Minimum 1 year of Operating Room (OR) experience, with OR experience within the last year
- Associate of Science in Nursing (ASN) or Associate Degree in Nursing (ADN)
- Current ACLS certification
- Current BLS certification
Job Responsibilities & Expectations
- Provide perioperative nursing care for a variety of surgical specialties including robotics-assisted procedures
- Participate in call rotation as required
- Ability to float to nearby facilities within a 25-mile radius if needed
