Description
MRI Technologist - Radiology
Location: Saint Louis, Missouri
Employment Type: Travel
Contract Length: 13 weeks
Shift: Evenings, Monday to Friday, 3:00 PM – 11:30 PM (5x8) with rotating call (2-3 days per week, including weekends)
Weekly Guaranteed Hours: 36
Job Description
- Perform specialized MRI procedures resulting in diagnostic images for radiologist interpretation.
- Provide essential patient care during MRI procedures.
- Apply principles of MR safety.
- Serve Interventional Radiology, Emergency Room, and Outpatient settings.
- Orientation for evening shift occurs on day shift; availability for the entire orientation week is required.
Required Qualifications
- Minimum 1 year of experience as an MRI Technologist within the last year.
Preferred Qualifications
- MRI Registry certification.
- Experience with GE 1.5T and 3T MRI equipment.
Work Environment & Equipment
- Equipment includes GE 1.5T and GE 3T MRI machines.
- PACS system: Visage.
- Electronic Medical Record (EMR) system: EPIC.
- Patient types include vented patients and anesthesia cases.
Physical Demands
- Minimal: Push/pull up to 46 lbs, carry 25 lbs, grip up to 50 lbs, pinch grip 6 lbs, climb 8-10 inch steps.
- Occasional: Reaching forward and bending for up to 5 minutes continuously, balance.
- Frequent: Hand coordination.
Call Requirements
- Rotating call as required by the facility, including some weekends.
Dress Code
- Scrubs: Black top, bottoms, and jacket.
Additional Information
- Flu vaccination is mandatory from November 1 through April 1; declinations are not accepted.
