Registered Nurse (Hospice) - Peoria, Illinois
Job Details
- Specialty: Hospice / End of Life Care
- Location: Peoria, Illinois (Local placements within 50-mile radius)
- Contract Length: 13 weeks
- Shift: Day shift, 8:00 AM – 4:30 PM (8 hours/day, 40 hours/week)
- Weekend Requirements: Weekend call rotation approximately 1 every 4-5 weekends, including Saturday and Sunday
- Call Requirement: 1-2 nights of call per week
- Holiday Requirements: None
- Patient Load: 4-5 visits per day
- Patient Care: Includes start of care, recertifications, and daily visits
- Work Environment: Independent remote work with computer/EMR use; no ventilator equipment required
- Support Staff: Home Health/Hospice aides staffed at a ratio of 1 aide per 2 RNs
Required Qualifications
- Active Illinois RN license (or confirmation that application process has been initiated)
- BLS Certification
- Valid driver’s license and insurance
- Negative drug screen (drug-free campus policy)
Additional Information
- Orientation includes 12 non-billable hours; guaranteed hours do not apply during orientation
- Call off policy allows up to 12 hours off every 13 weeks without penalty or pay obligation
- No manager or charge nurse available 24/7
- No specific dress code or scrub color required
