Job Opportunity: Labor and Delivery Registered Nurse (Travel/Contract)

Location

  • Pratt, Kansas

Contract Length

  • 13 weeks

Work Schedule

  • Night shift, 3 shifts per week, 12 hours each (7:00 PM – 7:00 AM)
  • Total 36 hours per week

Unit and Patient Ratios

  • Labor, Delivery, Recovery, Postpartum (LDRP)
  • Nurse-to-patient ratio: 1:2-3

Requirements/Qualifications

  • Valid RN license in Kansas
  • Minimum 2 years of Labor and Delivery experience, including experience within the last year
  • Postpartum experience
  • Associate of Science in Nursing / Associate Degree in Nursing
  • ACLS issued by American Heart Association or American Red Cross
  • AWHONN Intermediate Fetal Heart Monitoring (FHM)
  • BLS issued by American Red Cross or American Heart Association
  • Neonatal Resuscitation Program (NRP) certification
  • Electronic Fetal Monitoring (EFM) certification
  • STABLE certification

Additional Requirements

  • Clinician must be willing to float within scope to meet facility needs
  • First-time travel nurses accepted
  • Locals accepted at the same rate
  • No pending licenses accepted
  • Return to Office (RTO) restrictions require submission at time of application

Required Documentation and Compliance

  • Proof of I9 or attestation
  • Government-issued photo ID (must be carried during hours of service)
  • Background check: 7-year criminal history covering all locations lived/worked, updated annually
  • Federal criminal felony and misdemeanor background check within 1 year
  • EPLS/GSA/SAM and HHS/OIG checks required within 30 days of start and updated for renewals
  • Physical exam within 12 months, including clearance to work and free of communicable diseases
  • Immunizations and titers: Tdap, Measles (Rubeola), Mumps, Rubella, Hepatitis B, Varicella
  • Negative TB test or chest X-ray within 1 year, updated annually
  • Drug screening: Negative 9 or 10 panel drug screen within 12 months
  • Flu vaccine mandatory during flu season (Oct 31 - Mar 31) unless medically exempt
  • COVID-19 vaccine not required; declination or exemption accepted on facility form
  • Proof of 2 professional clinical references
  • Completed employment application/resume
  • Signed confidentiality agreement, standards of performance, and agency information sheet prior to start
  • Completion of required training videos and facility-specific modules before start
  • Orientation safety manual acknowledgement including OSHA, HIPAA, and Joint Commission annual training
  • Unit-specific competency exams and pharmacology competency exam (minimum 80% passing score)
  • Skills checklist updated annually
