Job Opportunity: Emergency RN
Location: Hartford, Connecticut
Employment Type: Long-Term Assignment (13 weeks)
Shift: 7:00 AM – 7:30 PM
Job Description
- Work in the Emergency Department (ED) with responsibilities including managing ED holds.
- Must be comfortable handling the fast-paced and dynamic environment of the ED.
Required Qualifications
- Valid RN license in Connecticut.
- Minimum of 1 year of Emergency Department (ED) experience, with recent ED experience within the last year.
- BLS certification issued by the American Heart Association.
- ACLS certification issued by the American Heart Association.
- PALS or ENPC certification.
- TNCC certification.
- Associate of Science in Nursing (ASN) or Associate Degree in Nursing (ADN).
Health and Safety Requirements
- COVID-19 vaccine proof including booster or approved declination/exemption (declination not accepted in CA or IL).
- Influenza vaccine proof or declination/exemption (declination not accepted in CA or IL).
- Hepatitis B vaccination series must be started prior to assignment.
- MMR vaccination proof (2 doses or immunity titer).
- Varicella vaccination proof or immunity titer.
- Tdap vaccine proof (declination accepted if no pediatric interaction).
- Tuberculosis screening: 2-step PPD or IGRA test required; positive TB requires chest x-ray within last year for CT and certain other states.
- Fit test and respirator evaluation with physician signature required.
- 10-panel drug screen completed within 30 days of start (NO THC).
Professional and Compliance Requirements
- Completion of background checks including federal, nationwide, and county criminal checks from the last 7 years, plus SSN verification.
- Education verification of highest academic degree or diploma/GED.
- Various compliance forms and agreements including code of conduct, confidentiality, conflict of interest, and audit services forms must be signed and on file.
- Screening against exclusion lists (EPLS, OIG, NSO, OFAC) within 30 days of start.
- System access form must be completed and uploaded one week before start.
- Resume and two professional references required for submission.
Experience
