Radiologic Technologist (X-Ray) - Temp
Location: Myrtle Beach, South Carolina
Employment Type: Temporary
Shift: Days
Contract Length: 13 weeks
Job Summary
Provide mobile X-Ray and EKG services to nursing homes, healthcare, and other facilities using portable digital (DR) or computed (CR) radiography equipment. Perform exams ordered by physicians, ensuring clinically diagnostic and technically competent images. Perform EKGs as needed and transmit results for interpretation.
Key Responsibilities
- Operate portable digital (DR) or computed (CR) radiography equipment to perform and process X-Rays.
- Transport and unload portable X-Ray equipment into facilities to perform exams.
- Obtain clinically diagnostic and technically competent X-Ray images.
- Perform EKGs when required and transmit them to a Cardiologist for interpretation.
- Scan exam-related paperwork and billing documents daily according to protocol.
- Maintain regular communication with dispatch, management, peers, supervisory staff, and clients.
- Maintain vehicle and X-Ray equipment in good working order.
Physical Demands
- Ability to push/pull equipment weighing 50–100 lbs multiple times daily (16 to 24 times).
- Use of vehicle ramps and pulleys reduces weight but manual handling inside facilities may increase force required.
- Reasonable accommodations may be made for individuals with disabilities.
Required Qualifications
- Valid Radiology Technician license in South Carolina
- Minimum of 1 year of Radiology Technician experience within the last year
- Active ARRT certification
- Experience operating portable X-Ray equipment
- Ability to work independently in a mobile environment
