Registered Nurse (Telemetry) - Travel Position

Location: Northport, Alabama
Employment Type: Travel
Contract Length: 13 weeks

Unit Overview

• Multi-specialty unit primarily focused on Medical-Surgical and Telemetry care.
• 24/7 acute care unit with capacity for up to 36 patients.
• Patient populations include medical (dialysis, telemetry monitoring) and surgical (orthopedic procedures such as fractures, shoulders, backs; general surgery including appendectomy, hernia repair, cholecystectomy, colon resection).
• Nurse-to-patient ratio is 1:6, supported by a Team Leader.
• Emphasis on pain management, mobility, complication prevention, and patient comfort in a safe environment.
• Must be willing to float to other units and hospitals as needed.
• Scheduled for 36 hours per week, including every other weekend and holidays as required.

Required Qualifications

• Valid Registered Nurse (RN) license in the State of Alabama
• Minimum of 1 year of recent Telemetry nursing experience within the last year
• Associate of Science in Nursing (ASN) or Associate Degree in Nursing (ADN)
• AHA Basic Life Support (BLS) or OR Red Cross certification

• Position is patient-facing and clinical.
• Electronic Medical Record system used: Meditech.
• Dress code: Solid navy scrubs.
• Parking available.
