MRI Tech Travel/Contract Job – Turnersville, New Jersey

Position Details

• Specialty: Radiology / Cardiology
• Employment Type: Travel/Contract
• Contract Length: 13 weeks
• Shift: Night shift, 7:30 PM – 8:00 AM (4 shifts of 12 hours each, 48 hours/week)
• Weekend Requirement: Every other weekend
• Holiday Requirement: 1 holiday required
• On-Call: Up to 4 on-call shifts if needed
• Floating: Potential to float to nearby campuses
• Equipment Used: GE and PACS systems
• Scrub Color: Black
• First Time Travelers: Accepted

Required Qualifications

• MRI Technologist with a minimum of 1 year of experience
• MRI Technologist experience within the last year

Compliance & Documentation Requirements

• Background Checks:

  • 7-year criminal background check within 90 days of start, updated annually
  • EPLS/GSA/SAM and HHS/OIG checks upon hire
  • Education verification or official transcript
• Health Requirements:

  • Physical exam within 2 months of start
  • Fit test (3M 1870+ mask) within 12 months prior to start (must be completed before start)
  • Current Tdap vaccine or titer
  • Negative TB test (Qgold or TSPOT within 90 days) or chest X-ray if positive
  • Annual TB questionnaire
  • Required vaccinations or titers for Measles, Mumps, Rubella, Hepatitis B, Varicella
  • 10-panel drug screen within 60 days prior to start
  • Seasonal flu vaccine or approved medical/religious exemption during flu season
  • COVID-19 vaccine no longer required prior to start; medical/religious exemptions accepted with masking requirements; booster preferred but not required
• References: Two professional references within 2 years of start
• Work History Verification: Minimum 1 year prior work history verified for New Jersey candidates
• Facility-Specific Training: Completion of assigned education modules (~6 hours) prior to orientation
• Acknowledgements:

  • Orientation Safety Manual
  • Pass/Fail Testing Acknowledgement

Additional Notes

• Return to Office (RTO): Required upon submission
• No on-site fit testing available; must be completed prior to start
• Facility will not allow candidates to start with pending background or fingerprinting results
• Fingerprinting: Required only for Pennsylvania placements or if working with minors (not applicable here)
• Candidates must comply with all facility-specific policies and training prior to start
