Job Opportunity: RN Emergency Room
Location: Hartford, Connecticut
Employment Type: Long-Term Assignment (LTA)
Contract Length: 13 weeks
Shift: 7:00 PM – 7:30 AM (Night Shift)
Hours: 36 hours per week
Job Description
- Registered Nurse (RN) in the Emergency Department (ED)
- Provide direct patient care during night shift hours
Required Qualifications
- Valid RN license in Connecticut
- Minimum of 1 year of Emergency Department (ED) experience within the last year
- BLS (Basic Life Support) issued by American Heart Association
- ACLS (Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support) issued by American Heart Association
- PALS (Pediatric Advanced Life Support)
- TNCC (Trauma Nursing Core Course)
- Associate of Science in Nursing (ASN) / Associate Degree in Nursing (ADN)
Health and Safety Requirements
- Fit Test
- Respirator Evaluation with physician signature
- COVID-19 vaccination proof (including booster by Sept 2025), or approved declination/exemption (declination not accepted in CA or IL)
- Influenza vaccine proof or declination/exemption for current flu season
- MMR vaccination proof or immunity titer
- Hepatitis B vaccination series initiated prior to start (titers not accepted)
- Varicella vaccination proof or immunity titer
- 2-Step PPD or IGRA (Quantiferon/Tspot) test; if positive, chest x-ray required within last year for CT
- Physical/Health statement confirming fitness to work within the last year
- 10-panel drug screen completed within 30 days of start (no THC)
Professional and Compliance Requirements
- Signed Code of Conduct form
- Signed Confidentiality and Information Security Agreement
- Signed Integrity and Audit Services form (signed shortly before start)
- Criminal background check (federal, nationwide, county for last 7 years) including SSN verification, dated within 30 days of start
- Education verification (highest degree or diploma/GED)
- EPLS (Excluded Parties List System) check dated within 30 days
- OIG (Office of Inspector General) exclusion check dated within 30 days
- NSO (National Sex Offender) check dated within 30 days
- OFAC (Office of Foreign Assets Control) sanctions check dated within 30 days
- System Access Form completed and uploaded one week before start
- Joint Commission CORE exam within the last year
Additional Notes
- Skills checklist will be provided by the agency for clinical contractors
- All certifications and verifications must be uploaded as scanned copies with expiration dates clearly visible
- Documentation must be maintained in the credentialing system prior to onboarding
